Golden Years Vet aims to make the end-of-life process as smooth and gentle as possible for both the pet and pet families. After a pet has passed, we will coordinate all of your aftercare wishes to minimize additional steps and stress. While burial is an option where permitted, we offer cremation with ashes returned directly to your home if desired.

Gentle and compassionate handling of our loved ones after passing is of the utmost importance to Dr. Freed and our team. Because of this, we choose to partner with Pet Meadow Crematory based in Southern Jersey. Pet Meadow is family owned and operated. They truly treat each pet as their own, not just a number. Private ashes will be returned to you in a cherry wooden urn with a personalized engraved name plate. Alternative urns and memorial items are available for selection on their webpage HERE.

Private Cremation (ashes returned):

  • Pets less than 30 lbs: $275
  • Pets between 30-70 lbs: $325
  • Pets greater than 70 lbs: $375

Communal Cremation (NO ashes returned):

  • Pets less than 30 lbs: $145
  • Pets between 30-70 lbs: $165
  • Pets greater than 70 lbs: $185

*Additional fees may apply for animals weighing >99lbs

Home pick-up of a deceased pet is available when needed. A member of our team will come to your home and provide gentle transportation and coordination for cremation. A complimentary clay paw print impression is provided with all house call visits. If your pet has passed naturally at home please reach out for guidance on body handling and appointment scheduling.
